Gateway Strategic Sourcing

Did you know that keynote speakers use different tools to communicate with their audience? Yes, with fast changing world today speakers need to keep up with time and technology.  They have to use these tools such as the internet to effectively bridge the gap between speakers and listeners.  The life of a keynote speaker is very busy.  They have appointments or schedules that they need to follow. Moreover, they have to be in the venue on the dot or before the time. Being late does not make a good impression on the audience and organizers.

If motivational speakers can’t make it on the venue, more likely they will contact the organizer ahead of time to prepare videoconferencing. This is one way of communicating with your audience even if you are not physically present. You can still convey your message.  Organizers have to prepare a wide screen television and a stable internet to communicate to a place where you are.  However, this is only applicable if the speaker is thousand miles away from the meeting area.

The keynote speaker should prepare visuals.  There are participants who retain their knowledge more on seeing than hearing.  If you are the speaker, you can prepare a power point presentation preferably with animations to catch your audience attention.  With this, they will no longer take notes but instead refer to your presentation.  This is also advantageous on your part as a speaker because it will serve as you guide on when to start talking and when to stop. This will serve as your cue.

Another tool that you can use as a keynote speaker is the question and answer.  You throw a question they answer and vice versa.  This is one of the most effective ways of communicating with your audience. They will begin to internalize and reflect on the list of questions that you have given to them. In this way, you do hit what is most important to them.

Generally speaking, coming to a conference well prepared is a good indication that you are interested in sharing your knowledge to your listeners.  Moreover, your audience will sense it if you are not really attentive to their needs and unprepared in answering their questions.  Hence, you have to come as ready as possible. Read and research more on the topic or theme given to you. Remember that you get feedback from these people. The more positive feedback you get the more potential clients in the future.
